Some of you may recall that Jeff was here in 2010 and his workshop was such a success that having him back is a great opportunity for others to learn how to provide excellent customer service.
You may ask why this is such an important aspect of small business. The quick answer to this is it costs a business five times more to gain a new customer than it does to keep a satisfied customer. read more

Banners for Third Avenue
The Two Rivers Art Gallery, the Community Foundation and the Downtown BIA partnered to bring a new banner project to Third Avenue. The 60 banners were created by children from local schools. This project brought much needed public art and creative vision to our downtown. Local businesses participated by sponsoring a banner or series of banners.
Flower Baskets
Flower baskets were provided by Downtown Prince George in 2010 for the enjoyment of shoppers, tourists and businesses within the downtown. The cost of this project was shared by the City of Prince George and Downtown Prince George. This project is proposed again for 2011, and there may be an opportunity to increase the number of flower baskets by having the cost of hanging baskets on private buildings shared by the property owner and Downtown Prince George. If the City of Prince George provides funding for 2011, those baskets will be placed on the lamp posts in the downtown. Contact the BIA office at 614-1330 if you are interested in having a hanging basket on your private property. The cost includes the maintenance and watering for the season.
